When I heard that Katie was hoping for canola fields in her engagement photos, I knew we were on a tight timeline. Brett and Katie made the long drive up to my family's farm near Kenmare for photos within a few days of getting in touch. Brett & Katie's easy-going personalities made for a fun, relaxed evening. They carefully tip-toed into my mom's canola field, where the blossoms were at their peak, glowing yellow from end to end. Brett's F-150 and my grandparents' farmstead provided beautiful backdrops for photos as well. With a hazy sky courtesy of wildfire smoke, we had perfect lighting for portraits. And the details! Brett & Katie designed their own rings, and Katie made the leather patch for Brett's ball cap. Thank you, Katie & Brett, for the amazing opportunity to be your photographer!
